The dual charger Makita DC18SH suddenly had 1 side faulty. No lights came on on that side any more.
The controller OB2512 seemed to have a jumping voltage, but on primary side things seemed ok. On the secondary side of the transformer, immediately after it, diode D9 was shorted and had to be replaced.
I replaced D9 that was originally diode SB160 with an SMA diode SK16. I added a new diode on the bottom side, between TP69 and TP71.
No fuses were blown, all were conducting.
After replacing diode, green LED started blinking. Later it was also confirmed that it was charging.
The charger has 2 independent PCBs, so at least if one fails, the other one will work.
